The Law
Revisiting - XVII
While it is important that you take care of others, it is also equally, if not more, important that you take care of yourself. You need to be full of energy and positive vibes to serve others in a larger way. You must be abundant to have a greater reach. Love yourself to love others. Indulge yourself in what keeps yo energised and refreshed - a night of music and dance, a vacation, a hobby, good food etc. A word of caution will be appropriate here. When I say that indulge in your passions that energise you, I also forewarn you from excesses. the excesses drain you monetarily, intellectually and spiritually.
Fostering resentment and anger against someone will deplete your energy level. It is also a huge waste of time. When you carry with you resentment against someone, you spend quite a lot of your time and energy on devising ways to get back and daydream on the pleasure of revenge. This baggage makes you curse under your breath, causes a bad mood, and reflects on other relationships. You go into an auto playback mode, recalling the perceived slight over and over. I have an one-word solution to this problem - Release. When I say release I mean forgive and forget: release yourself for more fruitful activities and you have a lot to do. Let go.
None of us are perfect for there is no perfectness. Each one of us is a bundle of strengths and weaknesses. Our whole life is about making full use of our strengths and weaning out the weaknesses. How do you perceive your weaknesses? Do you despise yourself because of your weaknesses? Do you feel let down or depressed because of your weaknesses? Do you consider yourself less of a human being? You will need to let go of all feelings of low self worth. Affirm that you are adequate. Forgive yourself for anything that you did which was not the right thing to do. Focus in the now. Learn and Grow. Let go of the past.
Let us have a preliminary look at the money mindset, the most sensitive of our desires and the most misunderstood commodity. We will look at money mindset at greater detail subsequently. How do you view money? Is it be-all and end-all for you? Or do you view it as a powerful tool to help you get to higher things. Ask yourself how would you like to have more money? By cutting expenses or by focusing on earning more? Get right on these two issues. Money is a tool to be used for gaining abundance. Create your money bank by focusing on earning more 80% of the time. Cutting expenses is fine only to the extent that when the expenses on wasteful activities and excesses are eliminated.
I strongly recommend to you to read the book "Feel The Fear And Do It Anyway" by Susan Jeffers. Any change causes apprehensions to rise in the mind. It is normal. Going beyond the comfort zone and pushing boundaries cause feelings of fear. It is a normal thing to happen. Standing up for your ethical standard in difficult times causes fear. Taking a road less traveled also causes fear. Physical threat causes fear. These are all normal reactions. The difference, between a person who moves towards abundance and a person who stays put within his comfort zone, is that the first person moves and acts inspite of his fear. This is the only way to triumph over fear. Act inspite of the fear. I have learnt to see fear in a different way. I see fear as an opportunity knocking on my door. An opportunity is usually a change. It could be a new prospect in an entirely new field or it could be a better prospect in the current field but in a different place or it could be a prospect on a much larger scale. A change cause apprehensions in mind. Thus an opportunity causes apprehensions to rise in mind. The way is to embrace the fear and turn the apprehension into excitement.
