The Law

Revisiting - XVIII

As a CEO, I did a large number of mass communication exercises with the employees of the company as well as the outsourced persons.Every communication session was a challenging exercise and some of them used to be very difficult to manage. Some questions were very difficult and sensitive and needed to be answered very carefully so that the message that I wanted to communicate, which at times were bitter,  could go across clearly without generating bad sentiments. I had jitters before every session. I literally shook in my pants. I managed to keep a clam and confident demeanor which I did not feel inside. These sessions proved to be highly educating to me. When my audience realised that I was not trying to be an all knowing boss and I was honest and transparent, these sessions became fountainheads of energy and ideas. I was inspired to hold such sessions by one of my mentors, Dr. Sanak Mishra, who till this day does not know that he had mentored me. I thank you Dr. Mishra. Act inspite of fear.

Your subconscious mind is your memory bank. You will have memories there which you may have forgotten consciously. When you try to do something, the subconscious mind does a quick scan of the memory bank, and gives you a feed back on what had happened on previous occasions when you had tried that something or similar thing. That activates your fear, if the previous experience was bad. It is not necessary that your next attempt will meet a similar fate. But your stops you from making the next attempt. Understand this dynamics. Accept the feedback as a learning point and push ahead with greater care and preparation.

Do not be ashamed or depressed if you are afraid. Who does not fear? A fearless man is a legend. There is nothing wrong of being afraid, unless you allow the fear to paralyse you into inactivity. As I had mentioned earlier fear is an indicator of opportunity. To be more precise, if you do not find fear sometimes in your life, you are most probably not living your life fully; you are not challenging yourself; you are not pushing your boundaries.

one last issue on personal empowerment. Love yourself. Love who you are, what you are and where you are. Enjoy living. Celebrate your gains. Celebrate your learning. Reward yourself. Build on your self image. There is no one better or worse than you. You are unique. You don't need to compare yourself with others. You are your own comparison.

I will mention one mindset issue at the cost of repetition. I want you to impress your mind with this teaching. I have mentioned earlier that we do not lose till you start blaming others for your bad times. When bad times befall us, we cry and weep, blame our kith and kin, blame the stars and planets, blame the environment and surrounding. Seldom do we point the finger at ourselves. Seldom do we take responsibility for the bad times. We forget that there is none other to blame other than us. Ask your self why you are in the midst of fools and wicked persons, if you wise? Ask yourself why you are in so much difficulty if you are innocent and pure? Ask yourself why you are in this rotten job when you are so capable? Ask yourself why do you lose every race if you are so well prepared as you think? The answers to these questions will tell you where the fault lies.

With this, I complete my discussion on the various mindset and habit issues which we need to align with our desire. Some issues were repeated multiple times as I wanted you to internalise these.
