The Law
Revisiting - XIII
Each one of us is destined to live in destiny. Activating that destiny is our responsibility. When we are born, we are also given gifts to attain the destiny. It is for each one of us to recognise those gifts and put them to use. Believe me when I tell you that abundance is for the taking. Learn the way, practice and keep at it. In these posts I am throwing light on the way - the learnable practices.
I have discussed may enabling issues associated with activating The Law. I have discussed meditation, calming the mind, foods, drinks, mindset, habits etc. I realise that a large proportion of my friends have not been able to stitch all things together. Those who could have progressed rapidly. I wish I could devise some shortcuts. Unfortunately there are no shortcuts to abundance. Nor is the process very daunting. It may appear to be so in the beginning, but once you get the hang of it, the process becomes much easier to follow. This time I am attempting to give more structure to the requirements so that the recipe is clearer.
Let us begin our journey on a road less traveled.
WE will first look at the various aspects of "self" and assess our current status mentally, physically and spiritually. We will then understand what is needed to expand ourselves and weed out the negatives and thus free ourselves from limiting beliefs and restrictive thoughts.
Start by making a statement, loud and clear, "I am responsible". Let the universe resound with the intensity of your statement.
Your mindset determines, to a large extent, your progress on the path of abundance. I repeat that mindset is a set of beliefs that resides within your psyche. You interpret the meaning and consequence of any occurrence through your mindset. As you interpret, you start sending out thoughts commensurate to your interpretations. Those thoughts then stimulate your reactions.
The most common disease in the mindset is, what I call, "victimitis". The symptoms of this disease are when your first reaction to any unfavorable occurrence is to look out for reasons beyond you and blame someone or some circumstance. A bad break is normal. Whether you like it or not bad breaks will occur now and then. How you see a bad break is all that matters. A bad break could be perceived as a devastation or as a learning opportunity.
Getting upset on a bad break is normal. Continuing to remain upset on a bad break is not normal and not desirable. The more moments you waste on remaining upset, the more you lose.
The game is not lost till you start blaming others for the bad breaks in your life.
Another indicator which will tell you the current reality of your mindset is the language that you use. Does your language indicate enthusiasm, zest for life, learning or is it listless, depressive and is accompanied by a low key body language? Do you resort to sarcasm as a normal means of communication or is it open? Check your words to know where you are.
Learn the art of creating Cognitive Dissonance. Say, You are a person with scarcity mindset. Noting is "enough" for you and you are always dissatisfied. You are jealous of a person who you perceive to be richer or happier. You are jealous of that person because you feel that the other has already taken possession of the larger share of a limited pie. With this mindset as the starting point, you insert a new set of beliefs and behaviors which are abundant. You start to believe that there is enough of everything for everybody. You are happy for the person who is better endowed and you intentionally work towards attracting greater abundance to yourself. This incongruence between your current reality and what you want activates cognitive dissonance in your mind. Your mind then starts to activate you to take those actions which take your current reality to where you want to be, what you want i.e. your current reality merges with your desire.
There are four ways to activate cognitive dissonance which should be used together for better effect. We will review the methods in the next post.
