Breathing - III

Energy breathing.

This breathing exercise is a variation in the sense that it involves visualisation with deep breathing. It is very simple and one of the most powerful breathing exercise.

Sit down comfortably in lotus or semi lotus postures or on a straight back chair. The requirement is to hold the spine straight with the spine, neck and head in one line

Inhale deeply through your nose using your diaphragm. While inhaling visualise that you are also breathing in incandescent bright white energy through your nose or crown. Visualise the energy accumulating in the pit of your stomach. Visualise the energy mass pulsating.

Hold your breath. Visualise the bright white energy mass spreading to every point inside your body and coming out of your body through your palm and finger tips and enveloping your entire body. As you advance visualise this envelope to grow bigger and bigger. Feel the warmth developing in some parts of your body. When you start to feel the warmth know that you are becoming conscious of your energy field.

Exhale through your mouth. Visualise the white energy passing out along with your breath.

Repeat the cycle. Start with 10 cycles per sitting per day. Do it at least once a day. Gradually increase it to 20 cycles per sitting.

Start with a 4-4-4 cycle and move to 4-8-4. If you have an untreated cardio ailment, do not do this exercise at all. The retention of breath is the most important element in this exercise.

This exercise will energise you and put you in the right frame of mind.

Namaste.
