Non physical or Auric structure

I am trying to explain the subject as simply as possible. I will also make the posts shorter so that we grasp an intangible subject with our tangible way of thinking in easy instalments. 

The physical body of any human being is penetrated and shrouded by layers of energy fields or energy bodies of different vibrations. Energy body with the densest vibration is within and immediately outside the physical body. Energy body with the highest vibration is farthest from the physical body. These bodies are not like peels of an onion but they intermingle with each other. There are seven such bodies one overlapping with the one below.

The human eye with very little training can see 1 to 2 inches of these bodies and can also see them expand and contract. With practice the human eye can see the bodies to a deeper level and see some colours.These bodies can be seen very clearly by Kirilan photography where the different colours of the energy field come out vividly. More on energy bodies later.

Within these bodies are located a large number of energy receptors, distributors and transmitters which receive energy from all the sources available in the universe - sun, moon, earth, planets, fire, water, wind, elements, other animate beings and inanimate things etc. These also distribute the energy, so received, across all energy bodies and the physical body. We also use these receptors,distributors and transmitters to transmit our energy to others, to the universe. To visualise it I suggest that think of them as funnels with the narrow end of the funnel rooted within the physical body and the wider open mouth at the outermost layer of the energy bodies. Thus these connect all our energy bodies and the physical body. These spin along their axis. In Hindu scriptures these are called Chakras which means Spinning Wheels. 

There are 88,000 Chakras in any human energy structure. 40 of them are very important out of which 7 are the Master Chakras. We are interested in these 7 chakras for our purpose which is to grow and harmonise our mind, body and spirit in an integrated way. To achieve this we will have to take real care of the Master Chakras. The practices adopted in keeping our Chakras healthy and balanced serve to keep our energy and physical bodies healthy and balanced. More on Chakras later. The science of acupuncture is based on these Meridians. 

The energy is received by the Chakras are distributed in our entire physical and energy body system by a network of channels. In Hindu scriptures, these channels are called Nadis. In English they are called Meridians.

There are about 350,000 Nadis which finally join the 14 main channels. These 14 channels, finally receive all energy from all Chakras and distribute the energy through the Nadis into the physical and energy bodies.

I hope I have been able to explain the general structure of the energy bodies. Minor variations in the explanation of the structure may occur from school to school.
