How to monitor our thoughts? It is a near impossibility given the fact that we are thinking one thought every second. This difficulty is overcome by monitoring our persistent feelings. Feelings are emotions generated by what we are thinking. Till we are feeling good we are fine. It means that we are in alignment with the universal intelligence.  It means we are in harmony. When we start feeling bad persistently, it is time to look for the thought which is causing this. Once this disharmonious thought is identified, this will need to be expunged.

How can we expunge bad thoughts? The first caution is not to fight or grapple with a bad thought. The moment we fight a bad thought we start a process of negative self talk and debate which causes us to stay with the negstivity for longer periods and therefore goes on strengthening the very thought which caused negativity in the first place. We must take advantage of the fact that our brain can think of only one thing at a time.

I have found the following method very effective. I start with acknowledging that I am having a negative thought. Replace the negative thought with a good thought which could be a thought linked to a nice place I visited, a humorous incident, a song close to my heart - anything that makes me happy. I have accumulated a bank of pleasant experiences, which I go on updating, from which I  draw when such replacement becomes necessary.

There is another way suggested by the Masters. Acknowledge the negative thought. Thank it for whatever messsge it is trying to give and release the thought.

The fleeting thoughts, which come and go, are not important. It is the dominant thoughts - the thoughts that we think repetitively and which effect us emotionally - are the ones which are important.

Today's Triggers:

1/ Never talk of times being hard as you can create what you want

2/ Do not think and discuss about your past troubles. You can do nothing about what is past. If you think and talk of past trouble you are attracting them into your present.

3/ Do not tell of poverty of your parents, or the hardship of your early life.

All of the above will inhibit you from abundace and prosperity now.

Namaste. Phir milenge. Happy days.
