Not everyone is cast in the role of a CEO or business owner. These are roles which require a complementary mindset and other enabling resources. It is true that a business, after it is stabilised, has the potential to generate riches much faster. the catch is in the qualifying statement "after it is stabilised". The period between setting up a business and stabilisation may vary between five to ten years. The stabilisation period is a very challenging period. For managing this period, one needs deep pockets, needs to learn in an environment of irregular earning and should be prepared for very high levels of stress. Everything will land in your doorstep.
Similar stressful is the life of a CEO. He is accountable to a lot of people - the board, the investors, the employees. The buck stops on his table.
If you are confident enough to meet the requirements of the role of a business owner or a CEO, please go ahead by all means. However it is not necessary for you to own a business or become a CEO to be abundant.
My strongest recommendation to reach abundance is to excel in whatever you are doing now. Create your brand. Look out for opportunities for amplifying yourself. Do not wait for big-bang opportunities for initiating action. There are ample small opportunities available right now. Keep your focus on your goal. More opportunities will start coming in.
I have already narrated my experience of utilising the current assignment for attracting abundance. I speak from the strength of that experience. I have been further encouraged by the success experienced by almost one hundred persons who followed my strategy.
Let me repeat my strategy in very brief. Do whatever you are doing to the bet of your ability. Increase your ability. Push your boundaries. You will surprise yourself on the extent to which boundaries can be stretched. Keep your focus on the goal. Use affirmations, visualisation and predominant thoughts to do so. Focus on what you want and not on what you do not want. Your mindset is the key.
Note: A mindset is a set of assumptions, methods, or notations held by one or more people or groups of people that is so established that it creates a powerful incentive within these people or groups to continue to adopt or accept prior behaviors, choices, or tools. This phenomenon is also sometimes described as mental inertia, groupthink, or a paradigm. It is often difficult to counteract its effects upon analysis and decision making processes.- Wikipedia
Your mindset can make you or break you. Please see the diagram below to understand how our mindset frees us or limits us.
Mindset is a set of beliefs which you use to interpret all that is happening in your environment. Your interpretation determines your attitude and you behave accordingly setting an action in motion. That action triggers a reaction which then generates an outcome. That outcome determines your performance. That performance consolidates your mindset further. It is a loop.
Your initial structure of mindset is created by the language used and behaviors displayed, verbal and non verbal, by your parents and immediate family. It is further built up by the influence exerted by the extended family, the norms of your society and religion. It is modified to some extent by your childhood friends. The mindset learning window is very active up to the age of about 8 years. The mindset connections are more or less firmed up by that age. It does not mean that the mindset can not be changed thereafter. It can be changed but it needs some extra effort and perseverance.
i do not want you to start blaming your parents, siblings, members of your close and extended family and society for your mindset. You must realise that they have done their best for you given their reality, the norms that they have been taught by their parents, society and religious standards. They had your best interest in mind from their perspective. If you find the imparted mindset as not adequate, there is nothing holding you back in changing your mindset. Yes, it is true that once the mindset is created, it becomes very sticky and needs conscious effort to change it. But it can be done, has been done by many and in fact is done by lots of people to some extent or other. Most of us stop the change process at a point when the level of discomfort becomes higher than we can deal with whereas there are a few who continue to push the boundaries. There is no limit for them. They will do everything that is required to be done to reach their goals.
