The Law
Mindset - XII
The fifth feedback was "You got what you deserved. As you sow, you reap, Son". Appears to be harsh, but it is the most constructive feedback coming from open minded parents.
The child is being told that the outcome has been commensurate to the effort that the child has put in. They let the child know the reality. No falsities were involved. The emphasis is on effort. Such parents do not stop there. The parents let the child know that they are there to provide all tools and resources. They enter into a discussion with the child to mentor him on the process involved for improving the outcome. Such criticism, delivered constructively, is of immense value in developing an open mindset in the child.
A child, anyone for that matter, will require to be motivated to stay true on the path of growth. How that motivation is given, is of utmost importance - not only for growth but also for passing on a legacy of open mindset.
A contrasting situation will arise if the child comes home a winner. He deserves to be praised to keep him motivated. The precaution is that all praise should focus on the effort put in by the child for doing well. Do not brand him a prodigy.
There are two types of people. One type will speak about problems. They know all the reasons why a thing will not work, irrespective of how knowledgeable they are. The knowledgeable ones, in this category, use their knowledge to show why things won't work. The sentences used by this type will be full of "buts", "the only problem is...". They are averse to taking risks. they have very low levels of satisgfaction. they will tend to remain inside their comfort zones.
This type has the closed mindset.
The other category, the people with open mindset will talk of giving it a try. If they fail, the world does not end. They will give a different try. These guys tread the road less traveled. They take risks. They grow. Life is much wider to them. I do not suggest that they are all successful materially. What is more important is that these people are contented with their learning and growth. Material gains may or may not be a fallout.
With this post I conclude my series on Mindset.
I aim to revert back to power of attraction or the direct application of The Law, a little differently. Out of the 2300 plus friends, who followed me on this journey, about 55 have reported significant abundance and another about 200 have reported good progress. I aim to boost the numbers to at least four times. this has made me to think on the subject. I will be bringing in further clarity on the application of The Law keeping this end in mind. I encourage my friends to get in touch with me via my mail prabirramendralalbose@gmail.com for any clarification of further inputs.
I thank all my friends for this journey which has helped in my growth equally. And growth is a continuous process and a conscious process.
Thank you
Prabir.
