The Law
The conscious mind directs the subconscious mind. The conscious mind tells the subconscious mind what is what which then is accepted as the truth by the later. On its own the subconscious mind is not capable of discerning between truth and untruth, good and bad. The message from the conscious mind gets woven into the fabric of the subconscious after repeated messaging. Once the message gets lodged in the subconscious, it becomes very difficult to change it. This is, both, a disadvantage and an advantage. The disadvantage occurs when a bad script gets imprinted on the subconscious. The advantage is when a good script gets written and replaces a bad script we can go on reaping advantage of the good script with some tending and watering. These scripts are immune to the gust of winds occurring in our environment.
I will like to make it absolutely clear that the subconscious script can be rewritten. Accepting and surrendering to a bad script, with the premise that this was scripted into our DNA and part of hereditary, is nothing more than excuses for shirking the effort required for re-scripting. Yes it is true that we inherit some tendencies from our ancestors. But they can always be modified. It takes time to do it. Such changes, seldom, happen in days.
Whatever is scripted on the subconscious, be it good or bad, gets magnified. Hence the potential of the subconscious, to lend force to our desires, is much more than the conscious phase. Feelings impinging on the subconscious create deep impressions. Say,I see a person suffering. While I will do all that is necessary to alleviate his suffering. I should never invite his pain and suffering to come to me and relieve him. My subconscious will take the pain and suffering as the reality and start causing changes in my body and environment to manifest the pain and suffering.
The communication to subconscious occurs best when we are calm, serene and bereft of diversionary thoughts. In other words, a meditative state of mind is best suited for a close "touch" between the conscious and the subconscious. In my earlier posts on "Calm mind", I have discussed some meditation methods. All my posts on 'Wonder foods", "Super drinks" etc have been written with a view to change the food habits to vegetarian and organic intakes. The food habits influence greatly our capability to adapt meditative state. As I have suggested earlier, meditate at least twice a day, preferably during dawn and dusk. Visualise clearly what you desire. See your desire in detail. With persistence, the sub conscious will start believing your visuals and create conditions for manifestation.
Desire promotes concentration of actions towards realising the desire. Desire will arouse and activate relevant portion of the mind which is designed to produce the desire. New ideas will start to surface in the mind. One will start noticing new avenues. One will start attracting people who are on a similar journey. One will start to notice information from books, newspapers etc on relevant to his desire. In other words, the entire universe will collude to see that one's desire is fulfilled.
On now-Off now desires have no meaning. This is the primary reason why most of us fail to manifest our desires. The desire has to be persistent and deep.
Thought is a force which is most underestimated and , therefore, not utilised to a fraction of its potential. Most of us are not even aware of this force. As a result, we think randomly. These random thoughts impinge on all those and all that they are directed at, either to our advantage or to our disadvantage. The result of those thoughts is beyond our control as the thoughts are beyond our control due to our unawareness. Every action has an equal and opposite reaction. So the quality and intensity of thoughts we send out determines the quality of thoughts we receive.
Our quality of thoughts affects our body, our gestures, our gait, our mannerisms etc. An uncertain weak mind causes a shuffling walk as against firm footsteps of a determined minded person. An angry state of mind causes furrowed brows, jerky impatient movements. A melancholic state of mind is reflected in sadness around the eyes. Every mind trains itself, mostly unconsciously, to it quality of thought. This training, if it becomes persistent, will cause deep sticky impressions on the mind. Once the mind gets trained to a particular character, it becomes extremely difficult to reverse the training - not impossible but difficult.
We may have trained our mind to brood, to think garbage without realising that none of the thoughts are mere thoughts; they have the ability to take away our life force, vitality, abundance and creativity and make us sick in all respect.
There is one particular type of thought which come to haunt us throughout our living days. These are the thoughts of the past. We very readily remember negative incidents we experienced years back, and we remember them in great detail. I have seen a good number of persons whose favorite pastime is to discuss those experiences the moment they get sympathetic ears. And who lend the sympathetic ears? Persons who are afflicted with the same disease - the disease of dwelling in the past. While a good memory is good, a memory which selectively forgets the negatives of the past is better. We need to learn to forget as well - forgetting that which is undermining our present.
