Journey of the Soul - VII
The first experience occurred in 80's when I was a strapping young fellow in my early 30's. I was suffering from some physical ailment and was not in best of spirits. At around 8 in the evening, while I was lying on my bed with the lights dimmed, I suddenly started having goose pimples all over my body. I had a distinct feeling that there was something in my room which was not quite normal. And then I saw a hazy presence in one corner of my room. I do not have the words for describing the presence. It was like smoke with no particular shape. I could make out some of its facial features. One eye did not appear to exist. Otherwise it was face quite like a human being. I cried out and sat up on my bed. I was terrified. The presence disappeared. It happened on the next two consecutive nights. I described what I was seeing to my parents and wife. We came to the conclusion that I should go and see a Psychiatrist which I did. The Psychiatrist, after a few sessions, came to the conclusion that I was hallucinating and used certain medical terms. I also felt that I was probably hallucinating as I was not not in best of health and spirits. I was put on a course of mild tranquilisers. The matter ended there. Although I had accepted the doctor's diagnosis, there was something niggling in my mind. I decided to research as deeply as possible into the mystery of death.
The second experience happened in 2008. Among my close acquaintances, there was an old lady of about 65 years. She was an widow and alone. All her sons and daughters were married. She had passed through extremely trying times, specially in the last 10 years of her life. One day, at around noon time, she had a brain stroke. We rushed her to a hospital where she succumbed after three days. We completed her last rites as per Hindu religion and consecrated her body to fire. By the time I returned home, it was midnight. I used to stay alone in those days in my work place in the guest house of my company.
The next night, as I was sleeping, I suddenly woke up with goose pimples all over my body. I must have been sleeping deeply as after waking up I took some time to orient myself. And then I saw the white smoky presence. It had no definite shape. It was like a wisp of smoke white in colour. I panicked and jumped out of my bed to put on the lights. The smoke disappeared. I was shaken indeed. This happened again the next night. I did not move. I simply went on watching the presence. I could faintly discern some facial aspects. It was present for some time - I do not know how long - and then it disappeared. The same phenomenon happened on the third night as well. By this time I had resolved not to panic and see what would happen. I kept on looking at the presence. That night the smoky shape was almost like a sphere and the face was clearer. It was the face of the old lady - my acquaintance. I do not have the words to describe the visuals. A question formed in my mind. And I received an answer. Our communication started. Strangely, not a word was spoken. It was silent communication - a question formed in my mind and I received an answer as if by telepathy and sometimes in the form of images. That is the best way that I can describe what went on. Not that we were very talkative - silently. Rather I found deep peace in her presence and the silence. I simply enjoyed her company. This went on for another five consecutive nights during which there was lot of communication and then it stopped. I tried to find out a lot about her world. Mostly, I received the answers. Sometimes there were no answers. I did not persist on those questions to which I did not receive answers. there were quite a few occasions when I could not grasp the meaning of her answer. The next morning I jotted down those answers to the best of my remembrance, with the hope that someday I will understand her better. I will not reveal the content of our communication as I consider it as sacred and confidential between two persons. However I shall reveal certain answers which were general in nature.
My last similar experience was in early 2015, after one of the daughters of the old lady died also due to brain stroke. The husband of the daughter was not employed. She had left behind a son and a daughter who were schooling. The old lady was very attached to these two children in her lifetime. This time the old lady came to me on three consecutive nights. She desired that I provide conditions for bringing up the children. There was extensive communication this time. I had become more adapt in framing questions in my mind. The answers came rapidly, sometimes even before I could close the questions. I was also better prepared to understand the answers in earthly terms.
From our communication sessions, I could understand that in the realm of the Soul there is no sun, no moon, no earth, no stars, nothing. She communicated a void in the first instance. On the second instance she gave a different picture. She said that her place changed often. I will clarify on this subsequently as per my understanding.
There is a mild glow. There is no sound for one who does not want sounds. There is sound for those who want to hear sound. Sound is perceived not heard as per earthly terms. Communication between the Souls happens in silence - by thought and image transmission (I hope my understanding was correct on this). Distance is no matter for communication. Distance and space are transient. There is no time in the earthly sense.
Thoughts materialise in "muhurta" - in a moments (instantly). And this causes lot of confusion to a "new" soul - a soul which has just come in from physical body.
Lot of souls, specially new ones, are in the state of deep slumber.
